The project for Ally Culture Consulting, LLC was literally the best of both worlds for me. I got to do Stephanie’s branding AND her web design. And I simply adored both.
First let’s talk about the branding…
So who is this company and what are they about? Ally Culture Consulting, LLC and Stephanie Dement are about helping companies, churches, schools, and other organizations and individuals create welcoming and inclusive environments for all. Through her programs, she provides support and advocates for the LGBTQ+ community by educating a variety of organizations on LGBTQ+ culture and how they themselves can become allies.
While a new business for Stephanie, this was certainly not a new calling for her as she had been doing similar work for another organization for some time. It was through that organization she realized just how large the need was to educate member of the general population about the LGBTQ+ population and provide them with access to information and tool to become allies. So for her new business, Stephanie needed a brand that embraced LGBTQ+ culture while remaining elevated and attractive to her ideal clients.
Taking a slightly deviated spin on the colors of the rainbow, we created a sleek and modern logo (with plenty of alternatives) that pays homage to the communities she seeks to serve. A carefully chosen script font (used very intentionally and strategically) rounded out our typography selection.
As a finishing touch, Ally Culture Consulting, LLC now has a badge that can be displayed by those organizations who have completed one of their many programs.
Ok, now let’s talk about design and the interwebs…
When branding is as fun as this had been, how could the website not be just as fun, if not more?
Y’all…when I say I adored this project and had an incredible time working with Ally Culture Consulting, I mean it. And it wasn’t just from the design perspective. It was because of who they are, what they do, and what they promote: welcoming and inclusive environments for ALL. Yep, that means everyone, folks.
It was super important that the site live out that mission: to be welcoming and inclusive. So, like the branding, that meant speaking to members of the LGBTQ+ culture and making sure they felt safe and seen and welcome, while also appealing to prospective clients: businesses, churches, and schools. All professional (and often conservative) organizations that need to see this company is legit and serious while being insanely passionate about what they do and the value they deliver.
Each picture and choice of color in their (large) palette was made with careful intention, as was the use of each branded font. I love the balance of the site’s clear purpose with the sleek, modern, and professional feel. Whether or not you are ever in a position to need Ally Culture Consulting’s services, definitely check out the site. It’s chocked full of resources, tips, and ways you can get involved and be an ally. I am so thrilled with how it turned out, but more importantly, so is the client. And that’s REALLY what it’s all about.
Stephanie Dement, thank you for being a DREAM to work with and for the work you’re doing. It’s a beautiful thing, and I’m so honored to have been able to create your branding and new website. You are literally living out my mantra: Do good. Be dope. Stay weird. Live authentic. And I have all the feels. I can’t WAIT to see the amazing things Ally Culture will continue to do, because I know they’ll be HUGE!
